Kewanee, Ill.–Abilities Plus is launching a campaign to support our clients and their families who are experiencing hardships due to recent reductions in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits.
Many of the families Abilities Plus serves rely on SNAP to meet their basic needs, and the loss of these benefits has created new financial challenges. To help ease this burden, Abilities Plus is collecting children’s clothing donations in sizes Newborn – 5T (gloves, hats, snow pants, snow boots and winter coats), baby formula and monetary contributions to provide Aldi and Save-A-Lot gift cards for families in need.

“Our mission has always been to support individuals in our programs and their families,” said Kim Walker, executive director of Abilities Plus. “This initiative is one more way we can stand alongside them during difficult times and ensure that our clients have the essentials they need.”
