The Annawan Bravettes lost a three-set heartbreaker to Hartsburg-Emden Friday night at the Class 1A Bushnell-Prairie City Super-Sectional, 17-25, 25-15, 19-25.
Annawan closes out their successful season with a record of 29-7 – the most wins in school history. The Bravettes were winners of the Class 1A Henry Regional and Class 1A Princeville Sectional.
The 32-7 Stags move on to the IHSA State Semifinals at Redbird Arena in Normal where they’ll face the winner of the Milford Super-Sectional (No. 1 seeded Cissa Park Coop or No. 2 seeded Windsor Coop).
