Bennison, Mosbarger named Kewanee Elks ‘Teens of the Month’

The Kewanee Elks #724 announced the selection of Jillian Bennison and Samuel Mosbarger as the October “Teens of the Month.”

Jillian is the daughter of Gini and Jeffrey Bennison. She is a senior at Kewanee High School. With a GPA of 4.0/4.0 scale, her class rank is 1 of 138. She has a four-year achievement in High Honor Roll, volleyball co-captain, Poms, Key Club, FCA and student council.

She has a three- year achievement as class vice-president, and a two-year achievement in All-Conference Academic volleyball and dance, National Honor Society and Key Club statistical secretary. Her one-year achievement is as Student Council president. Her community service includes volunteering in Key Club activities, Life Skills Halloween/Prom, Kewanee Humane Society, bell ringing for the Salvation Army, Hog Days Stampede and tree planting.

Samuel is the son of Mark and Jodi Mosbarger. He is a senior at Geneseo High School. His class rank is the top 10 percent with a GPA of 4.2/4.0 scale. He has a four-year achievement in High Honor Roll, tennis, cross country and a three-year achievement in Honors Band.

His two-year achievements include Green Steel, Top Dog award and state qualifier in cross country, Ping Pong Club and Link Crew. He has a one-year achievement in the National Honor Society, Ping Pong Club president, cross country co-captain, coach’s captain, cross country, All-Conference second team, cross country.

In tennis he achieved All-Conference, All-Sectional, conference doubles champion, sectional doubles champion, state qualifier, marching band, concert band and mathletics

His community service includes volunteering in the church and the Geneseo Tennis Association.
