The Wethersfield Lady Geese took part in the Sherrard Varsity Tournament Saturday and went 2-2 on the day.
They defeated Mendon Unity 25-21, 25-18 and Rockridge 25-23, 17-25, 15-10. Their losses were to Sherrard 20-25, 19-25 and United Township (East Moline) 25-19, 20-25, 12-15.
The Lady Geese are now 22-5-1 on the season and 9-1 in LTC play.
Libero Cora Hodge had 64 digs on the day. Kendal Vincent had 38, Kennady Anderson 36, Raqi Young 25, Marlie Lindstrom 20, Lajaya Angel 13, Sophie Nimrick 5, Camryn Anderson 3, Emersyn Nelson 2, Wavelynn Peart and Jillian Taylor each had 1.
Young had 64 assists throughout the four matches. She also had 10 kills and three blocks for the Lady Geese. Abigail Cabada and Taylor each had one assist.
Leading the attack at the net were Vincent with 21 kills, Kennady Anderson had 18, Nelson 16, Angel 12, Camryn Anderson 7, Nimrick 4, Lindstrom 2 and Cabada 1.
Nelson also had 13 blocks, Angel 6, Kennady Anderson, Nimrick and Young each had 3, Angel 2, and Lindstrom and Vincent each had 1.
Hodge, Vincent and Angel each had 2 aces and Lindstrom had 1.
