Kewanee High School senior Bethany Olalde is taking her musical talents to the college level next year. She will be involved with the University of Iowa’s Musical Department.
The University of Iowa School of Music’s new facilities and rich legacy of programs will put their students at the center of dynamic and career-changing academic, performance, and leadership opportunities. Here, students will do more than just learn about music; they will be part of it.
Students will work side-by-side with highly trained faculty mentors who are internationally recognized artists, scholars, and teachers. Students will have full access to a new state-of-the-art building that features a 700-seat concert hall, group and individual rehearsal spaces, classrooms, and more.
And those students will be exposed to the latest innovations and advancements of a dynamic and affordable public research university set within a city recognized as an international leader in the arts.
The University of Iowa has been an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM) since 1924 as a charter member of the organization.
