Monday was kids day for the Kewanee Hog Days festival and many of the activities were centered in the Peoples National Bank parking lot.
Police officers were being dunked in a tank; Miller’s Petting Zoo from Geneseo was set up on Tremont Street; Magic Matt made balloon animals and offered two magic shows; and Adam Belmares was available for caricatures. Other events included Ms. Fancy Pants offering makeovers; Coal Black Exotics will lizards and reptiles, and a Kiddie Tractor Pull. The Kewanee Fire Department was also on hand to meet the kids.
