Kewanee weekend police blotter for September 1-3

Friday:

A damage-only traffic accident was reported in the 600 block of North East Street.

Police responded to a report of disorderly conduct, telephone harassment in the 400 block of East Mill Street.

An animal was impounded in the 300 block of East Central Boulevard.

Police responded to a report of animal abuse and neglect in the 300 block of South Grove Street.

Police responded to a report of a traffic accident involving vehicles driven by Kelsie L. Parks, 19, Colchester, and Kimberly A. Grimes, 51, Galva, in the 4400 block of US Highway 34. No injuries were reported and Parks was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid accident.

Police responded to a report of a traffic accident involving a vehicle operated by Kathleen Anderson, 73, Kewanee, that struck a vehicle operated by Airleen Vasquez, 60, Kewanee, at Second and East streets. No injuries were reported and no citations were obtained.

Police responded to a report of a hit and run accident involving a vehicle owned by James Koning, 67, Annawan, that was struck by an unknown vehicle in the 100 block of East Central Boulevard.

A damage-only traffic accident was reported in the 100 block of West South Street.

A damage-only traffic accident was reported at Fourth and Park streets.

Police responded to a report of disorderly conduct, disturbing another’s peace in the 200 block of North East Street.

Isabel Gandarilla, 26, Kewanee, was issued citations for suspended registration and no insurance following a traffic stop at Prospect Street and Ridyard Avenue. She was given a notice to appear.

Imelda Rodriguez, 41, Kewanee, was issued citations for driving with a suspended license and no seat belt for child following a traffic stop in the 100 block of East Second Street. She was given a notice to appear.

Charles L. Doty, 37, Kewanee, was issued citations for no insurance and no seat belt following a traffic stop at Second and Main streets. He was given a notice to appear.

Justin M. Royce, 42, Kewanee, was issued a citation for no seat belt following a traffic stop in the 100 block of West Second Street. He was given a notice to appear.

Aleiah M. Schinkey, 22, Galva, was arrested for a Henry County warrant for failure to appear for traffic citation following a traffic stop in the 100 block of Dwight Street. She posted bond and was released.

Lynn E. Johnson, 74, Kewanee, and Jacob L. Johnson, 33, Kewanee, were issued citations for no seat belt following a traffic stop in the 100 block of East Second Street. They were given notices to appear.

Police responded to a report of an accident involving vehicles driven by Remidios Y. Flores, 46, Kewanee, and Victor A. Kluever, 51, Annawan at Division and East streets. A citation was issued to Flores for improper turn at intersection. He was given a notice to appear.

Jay Vanwaes, 57, Kewanee, was issued citation for no seat belt following a traffic stop in the 100 block of East Second Street. He was given a notice to appear.

A 12-year-old, 13-year-old, two 14-year-olds, a 15-year-old, two 16-year-olds, Alexis K. Purdy, 21, and Aliyah Feltner, 19, were all issued notices to appear for criminal trespass to railroad property following a report of a disturbance, fights-riots-brawls in the 400 block of North Tremont Street. A 16-year-old was issued a notice to appear for resisting.

Joshua J. White, 28, Cambridge, was issued citation for operating a vehicle with suspended registration following a traffic stop at Sixth and Ross streets. He was given a notice to appear.

Saturday:

Rick L. Murphy, 45, Neponset, was issued a citation for operating a vehicle with suspended registration following a traffic stop in the 500 block of Tenney Street. He was given a notice to appear.

A damage-only traffic accident was reported at Central and Main streets.

An animal was impounded in the 1000 block of West South Street.

A damage-only traffic accident was reported at Burr and Central Boulevard.

A domestic disturbance was reported in the 400 block of Prospect Place.

Police responded to a report of a burglary in downtown.

A damage-only traffic accident was reported in the 500 block of South Chestnut Street.

Police responded to a report of disorderly conduct, disturbing another’s peace in the 200 block of North East Street.

Peter B. Fisher, 56, Buda, was issued a citation for no seat belt following a traffic stop in the 100 block of East Second Street. He was given a notice to appear.

Lillian S. Riordan, 18, Buda, was issued a citation for no seat belt following a traffic stop in the 100 block of East Second Street. She was given a notice to appear.

Gary A. Bergren, 56, Kewanee, was issued a citation for no seat belt following a traffic stop in the 100 block of East Second Street. He was given a notice to appear.

Sheena N. Shadley, 36, Wyoming, was issued citation for failure to secure child ages 8-16 following a traffic stop in the 100 block of East Second Street.

Amanda L. Graf, 41, Kewanee, was arrested on a Henry County warrant for failure to appear for driving 15-20 miles per hour above limit following a traffic stop in the 200 block of North Main Street. She posted bond and was issued a notice to appear. She was also issued citation for no seat belt.

Police responded to a report of a traffic accident involving vehicles driven by Spencer W. Thompson, 24, Annawan, and Kayla P. Jewel, 29, Kewanee, in the 200 block of North Main Street. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued.

A 16-year-old male was arrested on a Henry County warrant for failure to appear for truancy at Second and Tremont streets. He was issued a notice to appear and released to parents.

Sunday:

An animal at large was reported at Elliott and Prospect streets.

A domestic disturbance was reported in the 300 block of South West Street.

Police responded to a report of a disturbance, fights-riots-brawls in the 200 block of West Third Avenue.

Kevin M. Pancrazio, 24, Kewanee, was issued citation for expired registration following a traffic stop at First Street and Burr Boulevard. He was given a notice to appear.

Eftihia D. Davelis, 34, Oswego, was issued citation for operating an uninsured vehicle following a traffic stop in the 800 block of North Main Street. She was given a notice to appear.

An animal at large was reported in the 200 block of North East Street.

Michael S. Huggins, 42, Kewanee, turned himself in on Mcdonough County warrant for failure to appear for delivery of cannabis in the 400 block of East Third Street. He posted bond.

Lucas J. Owens, 42, Rock Island, was arrested for criminal damage to property, burglary, aggravated battery to police officer, criminal trespass to building, resisting peace officer with injury, DUI A2, aggravated DUI, driving with a revoked license, and possession of weapon by felon, following a report of a building burglary in the 600 block of North Main Street. He was transported to the Henry County Jail.

Kari E. Vanstechelman, 40, Kewanee, was arrested for harassment through electronic communication following a report of disorderly conduct, telephone harassment at Second and Tremont streets. She was given a notice to appear.
