
Familiar bands and performers will make a return to Hog Days 2023. Performances will be held at several locations throughout Kewanee including West Park, during the flea and craft market, downtown on the mainstage at Peoples National Bank parking lot and the recently-added porkchop tent. A non-denominational worship service has also been added to the weekend. With all outdoor events and performances, attendees are asked to bring lawn chairs for seating.
Here is the Hog Days 2023 weekend line-up:
Friday:
High Jinx will take the main stage at the PNB parking lot on Friday, Sept. 1 from 7:30 to 10 pm. The group, made up of local musicians, covers 70s music through today’s hits with an alternative flair.
The Great Shaddini will perform Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6 to 7 pm near the main stage in the PNB parking lot. Zach Shadden returns and wows the crowd with magic, sleight of hand and illusion.
Saturday:
Arra will perform Saturday, Sept. 2 from 7 to 10 pm in the PNB parking lot. Straight from the Windy City, Arra is Chicago’s most popular classic rock cover bands.
Lewis Knudsen will perform Saturday, Sept. 2 from 4 to 6 pm at West Park. Singer, song writer and musical performer from the Quad Cities, Lewis writes and records music for major brands across the globe. Take a break from shopping at the flea market and craft show and listen to Lewis.
Jack Watson Quintet will perform under the tent downtown at the barbeque pork chop tent on Saturday, Sept. 2 from 3:30 to 6:30 pm. Want something smooth and mellow to the ear? Head on over to the porkchop tent for some blues, a little jazz and great music.

Sunday:
Dead Horse Acoustic Bandwagon will perform under the barbeque tent on Sunday, Sept. 3 at 11 am. The band performs both country and rock music. Enjoy the music while you eat your sandwich.
Homestyle Acoustic will perform at West Park on Sunday, Sept. 3 from 11 am to 2 pm. From Harry Chapin to the Beatles to his own compositions, Kirk Wessler will lead audiences on a musical journey that’s both nostalgic and enlightening.
Non-denominational Community Worship Service will be held Sunday, Sept. 3 at 2 pm at the PNB parking lot. The special service is sponsored by the Kewanee Ministerial Association. Attendees are asked to bring chairs for seating.
Jazz on the Side will perform in downtown Kewanee on Sunday, Sept. 3 from 2 to 4 pm. The group features some of the best musicians from in and around Kewanee. The music is described as uptempo smooth jazz.
Chris Stevens will appear Sunday Sept. 3 at West Park from 3 to 6 pm. Performing bluegrass with a twist of jazz, Stevens will be back at West Park by popular demand.
Michael Moncada and Whiskey High will perform Sunday, Sept. 3 from 7 to 10 pm at the PNB parking lot. The group performed its first show in 2017. Since then, they have played in over 75 venues in three states. By the time 2018 rolled around, the band was up to 250 shows.
Rags and Riches will perform in the PNB parking lot on Sunday, Sept. 3 from 4 to 5:30 pm. Brothers Tanner and Peyton Whitt perform as an American alt-pop duo.
River City 6 will be in downtown Kewanee on Sunday, Sept. 3 from 4:30 to 6 pm. The band consists of six musicians playing 11 different instruments and covering everything from Dixieland to polka with a little comedy thrown in.
Dave Bertchtold and the Tucked in T’s will perform under the pork chop tent on Sunday, Sept. 3 from 3 to 6 pm. Founded in 2017, the Tucked in T’s is an eclectic mix of country blues and modern string band.
Monday:
The Incredible 45’s, (formerly the Glory Days Garage Band) will appear Monday under the porkchop tent. Hog Days wraps up performances with Kewanee’s very own. The Incredible 45’s were such a big hit last year that they are returning for an encore. The group will also be cooking up some of the last pork chops and patties of the season, officially ending Hog Days 2023.
