The Kewanee Historical Society will now sell Hog Days banners for the local Labor Day festival, scheduled for Sept. 1-4. In previous years, the banners were sold through the Kewanee Care Auxiliary, but the two organizations agreed that this year, operations would be moved to the downtown location at 125 N. Tremont Street.

The vinyl banners come in six colors: Red, blue, yellow, purple, green and light orange and can be purchased for $30. The tagline for the 2023 festival, “The feeling never gets old,” is featured on the banners.

In addition to the museum location, banners can be purchased at B&B Printing and the Kewanee Chamber of Commerce office, located on Second Street. The hours for B&B Printing are 8 am to 5 pm. The KCOC office is open weekdays from 8:30 am to noon.

The Kewanee Historical Society Museum is open Thursdays and Saturdays from 1 to 4 pm. The banners will also be available the week of Hog Days at the souvenir shop at the Hog Capital building on Main Street.

Proceeds from the sale of the banners will benefit the Kewanee Historical Society.
