Incoming freshmen and students new to KHS will be able to get acquainted with their new school surroundings during the “KHS Boiler Bash” being held on Friday, Aug. 11 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
The event will be held as an open house so students and parents will be able to attend at any time during those two hours although the event organizers recommend allowing for about an hour and a half for the event.
Students will be able to get acquainted with the high school, meet new friends, take a tour, preview their class schedule and find their lockers. Free pizza and t-shirts will be offered.
For students in need of a ride home, bus transportation will be available.
For those interested, a parents’ Q&A session will be held in Petersen Foyer at the KHS main entrance at 6 p.m.
