KEWANEE WEATHER

Out & About this weekend, Nov. 6-8

By Diane Tucker    November 6, 2026
A lull in November events means a perfect time to take a drive and take in the fall foliage.

With the culmination of the witching season last weekend and our area football teams eliminated from the state playoffs, the hectic October pace has given way to an early November lull. But there are still a couple good options for those looking to get out of the house.

Friday evening Crossroads Cultural Connections will present Lewis Knudsen and Angela Meyer in concert at the Bishop Hill Creative Commons located at 309 N. Bishop Hill St. in Bishop Hill. There will be a community potluck from 6-7 p.m. Participants are asked to bring a dish to share, table ware will be provided. Lewis
and Angela will take the stage at 7 p.m. This event is open to the public and all are welcome to attend, but they do suggest a donation of $20-30.

Sunday evening the Women’s Club will host their Soup Supper at the Kewanee Elks Lodge from 3:30-7 p.m. There will also be a 50/50 drawing and gift baskets raffle. Proceeds will benefit the restoration of the Woodland Palace and other community charities. Take advantage of a great excuse to abstain from cooking and instead go get a delicious bowl of soup and help out worthy local causes.
