This Friday head to Guppy’s Lake Bar and Grill for an evening for good food, good times and a good cause. Guppy’s is holding a community benefit dinner and fundraiser honoring the memory of local girl, Brittyn Dechant. The event will feature a pulled pork dinner, a pie auction and a 50/50 drawing, with all proceeds directly supporting the family.
Families looking for a way to combat boredom head to the Geneseo Moose Lodge Carnival that is happening at 1025 S. State St. in Geneseo. Here you can find carnival rides, midway games and concessions. Carnival times are Friday 5-9 p.m., Saturday 1-4 p.m. and 5-9 p.m. and Sunday noon-4 p.m.
This Sunday evening sees the final Levitt AMP Music Concert for the summer. It promises to be a great one and will feature Midnight Cowgirls and KC Johns. The music starts at 6 p.m. in Wiley Park in Galva. Be sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket.
Looking ahead to next week on Thursday evening the Kewanee Chamber of Commerce Summer Concert series will present crowd favorites Missy Vail and “Elvis” at 6:30 p.m. in Veterans Park. FFA food stand will open at 5 p.m.
