Once again, The Kewanee Voice is inviting readers to share their favorite Hog Days memory for possible publication in this year’s print edition of The Hog Herald, produced in partnership with the Hog Days Committee.
Last year, dozens of people offered up a special memory for inclusion in the publication.
Maybe you marched in the parade, battled it out in mud volleyball, rode your favorite carnival ride until the sun went down or grabbed a pork chop sandwich and a corn dog before the crowds got thick. Whatever moment still sticks with you, we want to hear it — in 100 words or fewer.
Send your memory to news@kewaneevoice.com. Or write it up and drop it off at The Kewanee Voice office located at 121 N. Tremont St. in downtown Kewanee. Make sure to include your first and last name.
The deadline for entries is Aug. 10. If chosen, your memory will be included among the pages of The Hog Herald.
The free annual print newspaper is scheduled to hit the stands the last week of August and will be available at businesses and locations throughout the county. Hog Days will be held this year Sept. 4-7.
