Jaiden Little named ‘Athlete of the Meet’

Kewanee High School’s Jaiden Little was named Athlete of the Meet at the Ferris Invitational track meet in Princeton.

Little placed first in the 110 meter and 300 meter hurdles and was on the KHS team that took first in the 4×200 relay. He also placed third in the triple jump. Other firsts for Kewanee included Dontaveon Thomas in the high jump and the triple jump, and the 4×200 relay team of Cristian Cazares, Jaiden Little, Tyson Currie and Dontaveon Thomas.

Meet Results:

In team standings, Rock Falls beat out Kewanee 266-249 for first place in the meet, followed by Princeton, Mendota, Hall Township and St. Bede.

Kewanee’s results in individual events were:
100 meters: Tre Amos second, 11.90; Cristian Cazeres seventh, 12.58.
200 meters: Tre Amos second, 24.03; Prestin Stabler fourth, 24.48.
400 meters: Anthony Padilla eighth, 58.03.
800 meters: Julian Quintero third, 2:15.95; Mitchal Thorp eighth, 2:37.46
1,600 meters: Dylan Rainwater fourth, 5:10.31; Chase Palm fifth, 5:19.32.
3,200 meters: Dylan Rainwater second, 11:10.59; Chase Palm fifth, 11:56.43.
110 meter hurdles: Jaiden Little first, 16.74; Anthony Padilla second, 16.97.
300 meter hurdles: Jaiden Little first, 44.53; Dontaveon Thomas third, 45.79.
