The Kewanee Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Club is putting out the annual call for entries for the 2026 Hog Days Parade.
“Entering is fast, easy and free by logging onto the chamber website,” said Executive Director of the Chamber Mark Mikenas. “It takes just a few minutes to register online, and we encourage people to utilize this service.”
Paper entry forms are also available at the chamber office.
For the 51st year, the Ambassador Club of Kewanee will take on the lineup duties of the parade for the Hog Capital Festival Committee. This year’s theme, selected by the festival committee, is “We Will, We Will, Chop You!” Parade entries are encouraged to follow the theme when putting together an entry.
Awards and cash prizes are given to winners in the following categories: Not for Profit, Commercial, Most Original, Sweepstakes and the Ambassador Cup.
The deadline for entries will be Friday, Aug. 21. This year’s parade will kick off at 2 p.m. sharp, rain or shine, on Saturday, Sept. 5.
