There’s no excuse for boredom this weekend as area events include festivals, music, parades, yard sales and small-town fun and activities.
A 167-year-old county tradition returned this week with the arrival of the Henry County Fair taking place in Cambridge at the fairgrounds. Also happening this weekend is the Geneseo Music Festival, Bishop Hill Midsommar Music Festival and More on 34 – garage sales along Rt. 34. These events offer up numerous opportunities for music, delicious food, family fun and possibly scoring a great deal.
Sunday evening the Levitt AMP Concert Series presents Hot 8 Brass Band and Nikki D & the Sisters of Thunder at Wiley Park in Galva from 6-8:30 p.m.

Looking ahead to next week the Kewanee Chamber of Commerce Concerts in the Park will present the Kewanee Community Band/Jazz on the Side from 6:30-8 p.m. in Veterans Park. The Kewanee High School FFA food stand will open at 5 p.m.
