Kewanee High School sophomore Chris Crowe qualified Friday for the finals in the high jump at the boys’ state track and field meet in Charleston.
Crowe qualified for Saturday’s finals with a high jump of 1.9 meters (6 feet, 2.75 inches).
He also had qualified for the state meet in the long jump, but his jump in that event of 6.05 meters (19 feet 10.25 inches) did not qualify him for the finals.
