Raven is a striking 2‑year‑old tuxedo cat with bright eyes, long whiskers and a gentle personality that’s finally getting the chance to shine.
She was surrendered in early April after spending much of her young life hiding from a pair of dominant cats in her former home. Her family said the constant chasing left her stressed and searching for quiet corners to feel safe. At the shelter, that peace has finally arrived — and she’s soaking it in.
Raven is sweet, affectionate and quick to bond with her caregivers. She isn’t fond of other cats, likely because of her past experiences, but the moment her kennel door opens she’s ready for attention. She’ll weave around your legs, lean in for pets and happily settle in for a cuddle. Staff say she tends to prefer women, but she warms up to anyone who treats her gently.
At just 9.2 pounds, Raven is petite but has a healthy appetite — especially for anything chicken‑flavored. She’s also known for her mischievous habit of flipping her water dish when the mood strikes.
Raven is fully vetted, including a current rabies vaccination, microchip, deworming and flea treatment. She was spayed in 2024 and has tested negative for heartworm.
This lovely little tuxedo would thrive in a calm home without other cats, where she can finally relax and enjoy the affection she’s been craving.
If you’d like to meet Raven and think she might be the perfect companion for your home, call the shelter at 309‑852‑0040 or stop in during visiting hours. Her adoption fee is $60.
