Walmart has confirmed that a Dunkin’ Donuts will be added to the Kewanee Walmart as part of a nationwide remodeling effort now underway.
The Kewanee location is among 650 stores across the country receiving upgrades designed to enhance the shopping experience and modernize store layouts.
The remodel, which began earlier this spring, is expected to be completed by the end of August, according to Mark Rickel, director of global communications for Walmart.
In a news release, Walmart listed some of the updates expected. Customers will notice several updates throughout the store, including wider aisles, refreshed interiors and exteriors, modern signage, improved parking and landscaping and updated departments.
Additional features being added to selected remodeled stores include expanded deli and hot bar selections, expanded pickup and delivery services, updated Vision Centers and pharmacies with private consultation rooms, new digital touchpoints connecting in‑store and online shopping and interactive displays.
Rickel said he will provide more information about the Kewanee store’s grand opening, set for Aug. 21, as the date approaches.
