KEWANEE WEATHER

Out & About this weekend, April 3-5

By Diane Tucker    April 3, 2026

As Holy Week comes to a close, events and activities have slowed down a bit leaving time for family, friends and Easter celebrations. While the event calendar looks a little sparse there are a few notable exceptions. First up is on Friday. The Easter Bunny will be at Peoples National Bank from 3-4 p.m., so, moms, dads or even grandparents grab the kids and head up to their lobby. All kids will receive an Easter goodie bag.

Saturday morning the Kewanee Historical Society will hold their Coffee Tawk at 9 a.m. at 125 N. Tremont St. This month’s topic will be Kewanee Show & Tell. Bring your Kewanee mementos to share with the group or just come up to hear and see what others will be sharing.

After a day of egg hunts and gorging yourself on chocolate check out YAGODY in concert on Sunday evening at Bishop Hill Creative Commons. There will be a potluck and social hour at 6 p.m. with the music starting at 7 p.m. YAGODY is Ukrainian Folk Group that entertains the crowd with music and storytelling.
