Wethersfield seventh graders get first loss in state tournament

On Friday night, the seventh grade Flying Geese suffered their only loss of the season against Morrisonville in the state tournament.  

The Geese started the first set with the serve. Morrisonville acted quickly and got the serve.

Morrisonville got a lead of 7-3, causing the Geese to call a time out.

The Geese then start to come back with great teamwork but Morrisonville didn’t let the Geese catch up.

Due to great hits and serves, Morrisonville won the first set 25-11.

Morrisonville served to start the second set, hoping to gain an early lead.

The Geese led 5-4 but Morrisonville didn’t let them keep the lead.

Battling back and forth, the Geese fall behind. Wethersfield called a time out with the score at 15-11.

The final score was 25-15 Morrisonville.
