KEWANEE WEATHER

Out & About this weekend, March 6-8

By Diane Tucker    March 6, 2026
Spring forward this Sunday for daylight savings time.

This weekend is a little light on events with a couple good exceptions.

Friday will see the third Visitation Fish Fry held from 5-7 p.m. There are only four fish fries planned for this year so check it out before they are over.

Saturday the Kewanee Historical Society will hold their monthly Coffee Tawk at the Kewanee Historical Society on the corner of North Tremont and Second streets in Kewanee at 9 a.m. Saturday evening the Galva Arts Council will hold a Trivia Night to benefit the Levitt AMP Galva Music series at 6 p.m. at 128 Exchange Street in Galva.

Early Sunday morning set your clock ahead! Yep. It’s that time of year again, which can really wreak havoc on the sleep cycles and take some of us weeks to adjust. But hang in there, because it also means longer sunny days and the end of winter.

Sunday evening, Kris Lager will perform at the Bishop Hill Creative Commons. There will be a potluck and social hour from 6-7 p.m. with the music starting at 7 p.m.
