Stumped on what to have for dinner? This Friday head to Visitation’s Fish Fry. The annual event takes place every year during Lent on Friday evenings. It offers all you can eat fish, two sides, a roll and dessert. And for the finicky eaters that don’t care for fish, there are slices of Godfather’s cheese pizza for sale. A great way to support a small local school and get a great dinner.
If you’re in the mood for music, then Crossroads Cultural Connects is hosting Elizabeth Moen & Sophie Coyote on Friday evening and the Weary Ramblers on Saturday evening. There will be community potlucks and social hours at 6 p.m. with the concerts beginning at 7 p.m. at the Bishop Hill Creative Commons.
Sunday afternoon the public is invited to the charming, rural Church of Peace located just north of Kewanee. They will be hosting their 150th Anniversary Open House from noon to 3 p.m. The open house will feature something for the whole family and even features delicious treats baked by their very own church ladies.
