On Tuesday night, the Wethersfield boys basketball team lost to the Annawan Braves, 80-50.
From teammates on the football field to rivals on the basketball court, the Geese and the Braves have consistently shown great sportsmanship and always have a great time competing against each other.
The game started with a drive to the hoop by Wethersfield’s Alejandro Garcia, but the Braves responded rapidly with a three-pointer made by Pierce Childs.
The score at halftime was 38-20. The Geese were down but tried to gain back some momentum.
After halftime, the Geese came out strong, with Kruz Galbraith swishing a three-pointer. Galbraith was absolutely on fire during this game, with 24 points, all made by him, shooting three-pointers.

The Braves were dominating by the fourth quarter and seized the win with a score of 80-50.
The top scorer for the Geese was Galbraith with an outstanding performance, followed by Garcia with 10.
The most rebounds for this game went to Galbraith, and the most assists went to Drew Hornback, followed by Garcia.
The Wethersfield’s junior varsity team, however, took home the win with the score of 47-19.
