This November, Geneseo is the setting of a unique chance to connect with presidential history while starting your day off right with breakfast.
Ever wondered what President Grover Cleveland enjoyed for breakfast? You’ll have the rare opportunity to find out directly from his grandson, historian George Cleveland, during a special breakfast event at the Central Schoolhouse Inn in Geneseo on Tuesday, Nov. 18, from 8:30–10 a.m. George Cleveland is a respected historian dedicated to preserving and sharing his grandfather’s legacy.
Guests will “break bread” with George at his table as he shares little-known facts, stories and anecdotes about the life and times of his illustrious grandfather. Modern historians regard Grover Cleveland as one of America’s most dignified and characterful chief executives, and this intimate gathering promises to bring his legacy to life in a personal and engaging way.
Reservations are required. To reserve your seat at the breakfast table, please contact Tim Pletkovich at 309-253-5377.

Later that same day, the exploration of presidential heritage continues. If your ancestors lived in Colonial New England, you may share common ancestry with several of our nation’s past presidents.
Join nationally recognized author Tim Pletkovich as he interviews George Cleveland for an insightful discussion on President Cleveland’s life, legacy, and the ancestral heritage that shaped Puritan New England’s longstanding traditions.
This program will be held at the Geneseo Public Library on Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 2 p.m.
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn, reflect, and perhaps even discover your own ancestral ties to America’s leaders.
