Kewanee High School’s soccer team hosted Princeton Saturday and posted a 4-0 win.
Dontel Wommack scored the Boilers’ first goal just three minutes into the game.
“The Boilermakers kept the possession of the ball most of the game, lots of passing lots of shots, lots of communication, it was just a matter of time for the rest of the goals,” Coach Jesus Bermudez said.
Jackson Price took advantage of a rebound on a corner kick to score.
Leading 2-0, Kewanee felt like it was not enough and went for more. Jesus del Toro passed the ball to Alex Barron and a clear shot of Barron was enough to score from outside the box.
Wommack scored his second goal of the day, leaving the defender behind and crossing the ball to place it on the right top corner of the goal. “It was impossible for the goalie to stop the shot,” the coach said.
