
The public is invited to join college officials on Saturday, Sept. 20 at the Black Hawk College Quad-Cities Campus for a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house to see the newly renovated Building 2.
· Ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m.
· Building tours and lab demonstrations after the ceremony.
The 66,000-square-foot, two-story building is now the home for our career and technical education (CTE) programs.
It includes:
· 4,000-square-foot addition with welding lab, fabrication lab, grinding room and tool crib
· 11 classrooms
· 8 labs
· 3 group study rooms
· Expanded student lounge areas
Stick around for the Hot Roddin’ for Scholars car show that’s also happening on campus from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The show raises money for student scholarships.
Also, the BHC Braves women’s and men’s soccer teams will have home games at noon and 2 p.m.
