The Boilermakers took another loss on their visit to Macomb High School. The final score was 1-3; but the score did not reveal what really happened on the field.
From the beginning, Kewanee took control over the game, creating many opportunities of goal but not scoring. Alex Barron and Isidro Martinez were close to scoring many times, but it was Macomb that scored first.
The Boilermakers did not give up and kept pressing and on the second arrival, they scored again with Kewanee taking 10 shots in first half.
Starting in the second half, Macomb struck again having the score in their favor 0-3. Kewanee played beautifully with lots of communication, short and long passes and many shots. It was Jackson Price who scored on a corner kick; but the referee called a hand on ball, so the goal didn’t count. So, on another chance, again Price scored; and this time the goal was counted.
Dontel Wommack passed the defense on the left side and scored; but the referee called an offside, so no goal was counted with the final score was 1-3.
