Laue paces KHS golfers in Boiler Invite

Owen Laue’s 18-hole score of 90 paced Kewanee golfers at the Boiler Invite golf tournament at Baker Park.

Laue placed 46th among the golfers from a number of area schools that participated in the tourney.

Lincoln Throneburg of Kewanee shot 96 to tie for 69th place, while James McGarvey was in at 74th place with 97, Jack Anderson shot 99 to place 80th and Easton Blake was 109th with a 109.

As a team, Kewanee totaled 374 strokes to place 15th among the 20 schools entered. Fulton High School was the winner with a team score of 296. Cambridge finished second with 321.
