A free, 24-page special print edition of The Kewanee Voice, titled Summer Adventure Guide, will be available this week at select businesses in Kewanee and surrounding towns.
This vibrant, colorful edition features informational articles on camping destinations, prime fishing spots, local festivals and fairs-all geared towards making the most of your summer. Readers can also enjoy columns on wildlife spotting and tips for creating and packing the perfect picnic.

“It’s our biggest issue yet,” said Managing Editor Susan DeVilder. “We are proud of the finished product, and we had a lot of fun creating it. We think our readers are really going to enjoy it.”
The Summer Adventure Guide marks the fourth print edition from The Kewanee Voice. The publication debuted with The Hog Herald last August, followed by 2024 Year in Review in January 2025 and The Business Review this past April. The Voice team is already hard at work on the next print edition of The Hog Herald.
DeVilder encourages businesses interested in advertising in The Hog Herald to contact Janie at metscavizj@gmail.com or advertising@kewaneevoice.com. Advertising space is limited for this highly anticipated issue, which is widely distributed to businesses a week before the Hog Days Festival and handed out at the Hog Days building and the pork chop tent during the event.
