Busy week for KHS track teams

The Kewanee track and field team had another busy week with three meets from Monday to Saturday.

On Monday, the KHS girls team competed at Bureau Valley against eight other teams. Kewanee placed fourth with 74 points

Earning points for Kewanee:

Senior Tejhiana Amos – 200 Meters (5th), High Jump (1st)

Senior Stardeja Jordan – Shot Put (5th)

Junior Claire Taylor – Pole Vault (2nd), Triple Jump (4th)

Sophomore Jendayia Crowe – 110m Hurdles (2nd), 300m Hurdles (1st), High Jump (3rd)

Sophomore Nolie Charlet – 1600 Meters (3rd), 3200 Meters (1st)

Sophomore Danielle Jo Currier – Triple Jump (4th)

Freshmen Olivia Ralston – 800 Meters (4th)

Teams made of various runners also earned points in relays.

On Tuesday, the boys team traveled to Princeton to compete against three other teams.

As a team, Kewanee took first place with 245 points.

On Thursday, Kewanee traveled to Riverdale High School to competitive in the Paul Parker Coed Track Invite.

The Boys took first with 191 points and the girls took fourth with 91 points.
