Wethersfield High School senior Lajaya Angel signed her National Letter of Intent to play basketball at Sandburg College in Galesburg.
Seated next to Lajaya are her parents, Jason and Laura Angel.
Wethersfield girls’ basketball Coach Todd Hansen and Sandburg Coach Kellen Fernetti along with other family members joined in the ceremony.
Several of Lajaya’s classmates and teammates, along with school administration were on hand to witness the event.
Earlier this year, Angel was honored for scoring the 1,000th point of her high school basketball career.
