Galva police report for Jan. 27-Feb. 2

Jan. 27:

Police conducted a welfare check in the 00 block of SW 4th Street. The subject appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis.

Jan. 28:

Police responded to a dog bite complaint in the 500 block of SW 4th Avenue. The animal owner suffered a minor bite injury from his own dog.

Police responded to a trespassing complaint involving juveniles in the 00 block of SW 4th Street. The complaint was unfounded.

Police watched for a reckless driver in the 900 block of NW 6th Street reported to be traveling toward Galva on Bonham Road. The officer was not able to locate the suspect vehicle.

Police responded to an activated alarm in the 00 block of SW 4th Street. It was determined to be an alarm clock from a neighbor’s room.

Kurtis Clevenger, 65, Wataga, was issued a citation for having expired registration in the 600 block of West Division Street.

Jan. 29:

Police responded to a complaint in the 700 block of NW 4th Street. The subject appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis.

Police met with a resident at the Galva Police Department to update their annual sex offender registration. A completed copy was emailed to Henry County for LEADS entry.

Police responded to a disturbance complaint in the 300 block of SW 3rd Street. The suspect was transported by ambulance for evaluation/treatment.

Police assisted a citizen in the 00 block of Burlington Road.

Police responded to a 9-1-1 open line call in the 200 block of Morgan Road. It was determined to be an accidental misdial.

Kayla Snider, 34, Galva, was arrested following a traffic stop in the 200 block of Exchange Street on a no-bond Henry County warrant for failure to appear on a charge of resisting a police officer. She was taken to Henry County Jail.

Police responded to a complaint in the 700 block of NW 4th Street. The subject appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis.

Jan. 30:

Wyatt Stader, 21, Buda, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration was suspended for mandatory insurance following a traffic stop in the 00 block of SW 6th Avenue. He was released with a required court date.

Police responded to a complaint involving an unknown subject having an inappropriate online conversation with a minor at a residence on NW 5th Street.

Jan. 31:

Police attempted to assist a subject having a mental health crisis in the 700 block of NW 4th Street.

Police assisted the ambulance with a medical emergency in the 00 block of NE 8th Avenue.

Police responded to a disturbance complaint in the 00 block of SW 4th Street.

Feb. 1:

Police assisted Henry County with locating a subject walking along the railroad tracks east of town. The subject was located and instructed to stay off railroad property.

Police spoke to a subject from Sentry Estates concerning questions about an order of protection.

Police assisted a citizen who appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis in the 100 block of NE 6th Avenue.

Feb. 2:

Police watched for a reckless driver on Route 34 at the west edge of town. The suspect vehicle was not located.
