Pickup of trash and recyclables for Thursday was delayed, according to officials at LRS, the company that handles the pickup for the city.
City Clerk Kasey Mitchell wrote in an email to The Kewanee Voice: “I received a call this morning from, Scott Taylor from LRS. They are having staffing and equipment issues today and are concerned about not being able to get all of today’s routes completed.”
Mitchell’s email said anyone whose pickup was missed should leave their carts curbside and it will be taken care of, “hopefully tomorrow.”
