Brockman Gym saw ample attention on Thursday, Dec. 19, when Kewanee High School hosted three area schools for a quad meet.
The Boilers graciously played host, but that didn’t keep them from making short work of Peoria Manual (71-6) and Peoria Heights (66-0), both of whom forfeited more matches than they attempted.
The Rockridge Rockets offered more of a challenge, but KHS easily carried the day 54-27.
Standouts that evening included freshman Ace LaFollette and senior Leocado Gandarilla, who added another fall to their records in only 43 seconds and 25 seconds, both against Rockridge opponents.
Junior Hunter Vancil’s tenacity also served him well on Thursday night. After two grueling periods, the Boiler claimed victory at five minutes, six seconds.
