KHS volleyball opens season with two-set win

Kewanee High’s Boiler Girls opened their volleyball season with a two-set win over Ridgewood Tuesday in Brockman Gym.

Kewanee beat Ridgewood 25-19, 25-12.

The Boiler Girls’ individual stats were:

Taylor VanWinkle: 7 kills, 4 digs, 1 ace, 6 service points

Claire Taylor: 5 aces, 3 digs, 1 assist, 11 service points

Macee Pickering launches a serve.

Macee Pickering: 4 kills, 11 assists, 1 block, 1 dig, 1 service point

Aaliyah Duarte: 2 kills, 2 blocks, 2 aces, 6 service points

Tejhiana Amos: 4 kills

Damaris Diaz: 2 kills, 1 block, 1 dig

Gabby Hampton: 1 kill

Macy Anderson:1 kill
