Police assisted a motorist with an armored vehicle with keys locked inside it. Tarleton’s Service was contacted for assistance, and was able to get the vehicle on its way.

Police assisted Stark County Medic with a call involving a subject choking on Main Street.
Police spoke to a resident by telephone about a possible trespassing situation.
Police responded to a complaint involving unattended children in the 800 block of NE 1st Avenue.
Police conducted a welfare check at a residence on NW 3rd Street. The subject was fine.
August 8:
While patrolling, police saw an ordinance violation in the 300 block of SE 1st Avenue. The subject was spoken to about the issue.
Police responded to a complaint involving juveniles threatening each other in the 100 block of SE 2nd Street.
Police responded to a complaint involving subjects shooting a BB gun and hitting a neighbor’s house in the 00 block of SE 2nd Avenue.
Police met with a subject who reported seeing approximately 20 UFOs on SW 6th Avenue. The officer was not able to locate anything.
Holly Niedermann, 54, Tama, Iowa, was issued a citation for speeding in the 900 block of North Center Avenue.

Leah Anderson, 27, Galva, was arrested for driving while her license was suspended and possession of adult-use cannabis in a motor vehicle during a traffic stop in the 500 block of SE 1st Avenue. She was taken to the Galva Police Department for processing and then released with a required court date.
Police responded to a complaint of an intoxicated subject causing a disturbance in the 00 block of SE 2nd Avenue.
