
Cambridge will be the location for the Henry County Community Day set for Sunday, Aug. 4. The Henry County Republicans are hosting the event the College Square Park and invite the public to come out for food and family fun.
Food vendors will begin at 4 p.m. and attendees will be able to purchase food from Edna Joe’s Tacos, corn on the cob from CCYC, pizza from Charli’s Pizza and beverages from The Main Squeeze.
In addition to food, music, bingo, cake walks, bags, and kids activities will be offered. Attendees can also get in on a 50/50 raffle. Those activities will take place at the pavilion from 4 to 7 p.m.
Courthouse tours are also scheduled between 4 and 5 p.m. and will be led by Henry County Sheriff Josh Verscheure and other elected officials.
At 5:30 p.m., attendees can meet elected officials and candidates and receive voting information. Trump signs will also be available.
At that time, an Ice Cream Social, sponsored by the Henry County Republicans, will be held and feature Cedar Crest Ice Cream from Grandma Julie’s. A free will donation is welcome.
