As the 2023-24 academic year drew to a close, the Wethersfield School District said goodbye to several educators that made their mark on generations of students.

Leanne Crabtree, Jay Hagaman, Ron Heston, and Christine Reeves, with over two decades of service, all retired from their positions.

Leanne Crabtree spent 28 years as in the district as a support staff member with many years as elementary secretary.

Jay Hagaman and Christine Reeves, with 22 and 23 years respectively, brought music and knowledge to the district through their expertise in band instruction and teaching.

Ron Heston, for 22 years, served as a bus driver, ensuring the safe transportation of students.

In addition to these retirees, Stephanie Hagaman departed after completing her seventh year as an elementary music/vocal teacher. She also directed the Wethersfield High School Choir for many years.

The retirees were recognized for their experience, dedication, and commitment to students’ success and were wished well on their retirements and future endeavors.
