We’ve entered the season for getting together outdoors, and that often includes preparing food to feed a crowd. That was the case last weekend for Andrea VanWynsberg from Brimfield. She prepared Crock Pot Cheeseburger Sandwiches for her family reunion, and boy, were they a hit!
From reunions to graduation parties and get-togethers of all types, there are times when being able to prepare food in advance is a real advantage. Not needing to fire up the grill or oven or be preoccupied with watching things cook makes the event substantially more enjoyable.

Andrea first started making this recipe back in September of 2018 for a wiener roast. She noted that everyone loved the recipe, and she was able to enjoy her company instead of worrying about preparing food. Since that time, it has been her go-to recipe for large gatherings.
I made her recipe this week, and I can attest that it is a winner. It was easy to prepare, and it really created an elevated sloppy-joe-type sandwich. The cheese and onion add so much flavor, and the pretzel bun makes it seem like a sandwich from a great restaurant.
Give this a shot for your upcoming gathering. It will surely be enjoyed.
From Andrea’s kitchen to yours – enjoy!
