Kewanee High School wrestler Alex Duarte earned first team all-conference honors from the Three Rivers Athletic Conference,
Duarte, a junior, won a fifth-place medal in rthe 215 pounds category at the state wrestling tournament.
His season record was 41 and 6.
Other Boiler wrestlers earning all-conference honors were:
Kingston Peterson, second team at 113 pounds. His season record was 28-8.
Ben Taylor, honorable mention at 138 points. He was 29-8 on the season.
Jamal Lasenby, second team at 175 pounds. Also a state qualifier, Lasenby was 18-7 on the season.
Jackson Hawkins, honorable mention at 190 pounds. He was 21-18 for the season.
The Boiler wrestlers were 7-4 in the conference for the season.
Scholastic Bowl
Kewanee’s Rebeca Corral and William Ly were named to the second team in the Scholastic Bowl all-conference honors.
Corral tied with Orion’s Derek Nelson in winning 1.8 toss-ups per game. Ly won 1.6 per game.
Kewanee placed eighth in the 12-team conference with a season record of 6-6.
