Five local basketball players have been selected to play in the Canton Kiwanis All-Star games on March 16 in Canton.
Braden Clark from Kewanee High School and Landon Sauer of Wethersfield will play for the boys’ North squad.
Kennady Anderson and Paige Huffman will represent Wethersfield High School on the girls’ North squad. Ava Strom from Galva will play for the North squad as well.
The boys’ North team will be coached by Marty Lozier of Farmington and Matt Clark of Kewanee. The South team will be coached by Casey Jones of South Fulton.
The girls’ North team will be coached by Todd Hansen of Wethersfield and the coach of the South team will be Jim Belville of Illini Bluffs.
The girls game will be played at 6 p.m and. the boys will follow at 7:45 p.m. Both games will be held at Mid American National Bank Gym on the campus of Spoon River College in Canton.
Admission will be $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors. No charge for kids under 5.
