Wethersfield’s Book Blast Fundraiser was a huge success, raising a total of $10,000 in donations. The event, which took place from February 5-18, garnered the support of a community eager to support literacy in the school.

Three standout students were recognized for their exceptional fundraising efforts. Preschoolers Jay Crabtree and Presleigh Currier raised an impressive $200 each for the cause. Kindergartener Matteo Gustaitis went above and beyond, bringing in $500 in donations.

In addition to raising money, participants had the chance to win some fantastic prizes. Leiah Cornish was the lucky winner of a brand new iPad, while four other students walked away with treasure boxes filled with money and other goodies.

The funds raised will go a long way in supporting literacy initiatives in the school and will provide students with even more resources designed to fuel their love of reading.
