A friendly competition between divisions of the Henry and Stark County Health Departments and the First Choice Healthcare has led to some big results.
In their first annual Holiday Food Drive to benefit the Kewanee and Colona food pantries, staff members of the health department and First Choice Healthcare collected almost 1575 pounds of food items. In the competition, the Home Services staff collected a whopping 977 pounds of food, making them the competition champs.
The goal was to celebrate the holiday season by giving back to the community and helping make the holidays happier for local residents in need.
