Move over, Cyndi Lauper—this year, it’s the pigs who just wanna have fun.
Hog Days 2025 is getting a splash of retro flair with the release of this year’s official banners, now available for sale.
Featuring a cartoon pig straight out of the 1980s—complete with an ice cream cone and big hair—the design is a nod to Lauper’s iconic anthem, “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” reimagined for Kewanee’s favorite four-legged mascot.
Designed by B&B Printing, the banners come in five colors: blue, peach, yellow, purple and green, and residents are sure to find one to suit their Hog Days vibe.
Each banner costs $30 and can be purchased at three local spots:
–B&B Printing (Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.–noon)
–Kewanee Chamber of Commerce Office (Monday–Friday, open until noon)
–Kewanee Historical Society (Thursday and Saturday, 1–4 p.m.)
Proceeds benefit the Kewanee Historical Society.
