Law enforcement officials are investigating a death that occurred late Saturday in the 800 block of West Division Street.
In a statement released Sunday afternoon Kewanee police said officers went to the Division Street address to check on the welfare of an individual. They found an “unresponsive male individual who was pronounced deceased at the scene,” the release said.
A death investigation was initiated “with the collaboration of the Illinois State Police and the Henry County Sheriff’s Department,” according to the statement.
The statement concluded, “There is no threat to public safety, and we believe this to be an isolated incident.”
