Vanda Lee A. Hallock, of Diamond, Missouri, formerly of Buda, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025.

Vanda Lee was born on April 17, 1937, in Kewanee, Illinois. She worked for the former Hyster Co. in Quality Control before retiring in 1985. She enjoyed reading, sitting outside on the porch watching all the animals, especially the squirrels, search word puzzles and playing the slot machines.

She married Robert Hallock on October 11, 1975, in Kewanee, Illinois and he preceded her in death on March 5, 1992. Survivors include two sons: Milton L. (Karen) Stapel of Kewanee, Illinois, Gary (Joan) Hallock of Perry Oklahoma; four daughters: Evelyn (David) Leedy of Diamond, Missouri, Myrene Carper of Sheffield, Illinois, Drinda (Michael) Milinac of Harvard, Illinois, and DeVicka (Bill) Wilhite of South Bend, Indiana, 16 Grandchildren: Chuck Lefler, Kenny Lefler, Andy (Katie) Yarger, Layne Stapel, Matthew Guthrie, Johnny Guthrie, Hannah Guthrie (preceded in death), Justin (Kaurie) Carper, Missie (Jonathan Moon) Carper, William Wilhite, Kodie Wilhite, Todd (Linda) Hallock, Michele Schueler, Ireland (Nick) Uecker, McLaren Milinac and Tristen Milinac; Great Grandchildren: Sarah King, Huxley and Esme Carper, Robby Hallock, Jackson and Kennedy Cockriel, and Chase Schueler.

She was preceded in death by one son; Brent F. Stapel, one daughter; Judy Lefler, her parents; Andrew and Evelyn Harris Dergins, one brother; Merwyn Dergins and one sister; Lorena Medford. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Kewanee. Memorials may be made to the church.

There will be Graveside Services conducted on August 31, 2025, at 1pm at the Hopeland Cemetery in Buda, Illinois. A gathering will be held at the Buda Community Hall following the services
