Obituary For Steven D. Scott

KEWANEE – Steven D. Scott, 65, of Kewanee, died at 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 11, 2024 at the Kewanee Care Home.

He was born December 5, 1958 in Moline, the son Kenneth and Patricia (Waddle) Scott. He married Julie Currier on July 25, 1981. Survivors include his wife of Kewanee, a son, Jake Scott (Sheridan Fergeson) of LaSalle, IL, a daughter, Stephanie (Tony) Faccaro of Kewanee, brother, Terry Scott of East Moline, sister, Beverly Franklin of Burlington, IA, his sisters-in-law; Penny (Bill) Minks of Galva, Chris (Brian) Wilson of Kewanee and Kathy (Mark) Thiemann of Largo, FL, his brothers-in-law, Brian (Dawn) Currier of Lithia, FL and Bob (Kelli) Currier of Ogelsby, IL and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law, Nick Currier, a sister, Brenda, a brother, Mike and nephew, Justin Bickett.

Steven attended Cambridge schools and had worked as a welder at Great Dane in Kewanee for 37 years. He was a member of the Midwest Pool League and was an amazing guitar player, having played in several local bands. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Detroit Lions fan. Steven was a wonderful family man and cherished the time he spent with this family.

Cremation will be accorded and no services are planned at this time. Rux Funeral home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.
