MOLINE – Sidney Joyce Douglas, 67, of Moline, formerly of Annawan, died at 7:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Allure of Quad Cities in Moline.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 23 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee with Pastor Haley Hausman officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Annawan Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association, the Disabled American Veterans or to the Kewanee Animal Shelter.

She was born June 26, 1956, in Kewanee, the daughter of Loren and Shirley (Wells) Douglas. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Laura Douglas of Orion, a niece, Trisha Douglas of Moline, a nephew, Eric Douglas of Davenport, IA and her close friend, Marianne (Tom) Pyle of Kewanee. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Steven.

Sidney graduated from Annawan High School where she played basketball and had attended Black Hawk East. She worked as a purchasing agent for Jostens and for Martin Engineering. She was of the Christian faith and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan who enjoyed flowers, hummingbirds, pottery, playing softball, doing jigsaw puzzles and cooking, especially broccoli salad. She also enjoyed bowling and had bowled a 300 game at Tenney Bowl in Kewanee and was a Rolle Bolle champion.
