Obituary For Sharon "Sherry" Kay (Nash) Stoner

Sharon “Sherry” Kay (Nash) Stoner, 84, went to be with Jesus on October 11th, 2025, at Rosebud Healthcare in Forsyth, MT, where she had lived since 2017.

She was born on January 27th, 1941, in Kewanee, IL to parents Lawrence and Vera (Kaiser) Nash. She graduated from Neponset, IL high school in 1959 and went on to work at Martin Engineering for 35 years where she met her husband, Jack. Sherry’s hobbies included playing Solitaire on her tablet, completing word searches and watching “her” movies over and over.

Sherry was kind, hardworking and loved her family fiercely; she also loved to make people laugh and often said “I’m glad you got to see me.” In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Stoner and her sister, Jody Humphrey.

She is survived by her brother, Ron (Carol) Nash; 2 sons, Jeff (Cyndi) Chadd and Tim Chadd; one daughter, Brenda (Glazebrook) Diamond; 5 grandchildren, Amber, Mercaydeez, Joshua, Caleb and Hailee; 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation rights have been accorded per her wishes by Stevenson and son’s Funeral home in Forsyth, MT. Those who wish to remember Sherry in a special way are encouraged to make a donation to the Henry County Humane Society of Kewanee, IL in her memory.

    I worked with Sherry at Martin Engineering and considered her a good friend. She was a wonderful person and hope she and Jack are having a grand reunion.

    A new Angel has risen to her reward. Our hearts hurt at your loss but take comfort that she is in heaven with Jack. Such a sweet, caring woman who never forgot her friends in Kewanee.
